Wyland and Roy Tabora 1991
Wyland looks back at the history of this unique painting: "Above and Below started out as an agreement between myself and artist Robert Bateman in that he would paint the world above the ocean, and I would paint everything below. The idea stuck so I contacted Roy Tabora, a fabulous seascape painter who, like myself, kept a studio on the North Shore of Oahu. We took turns painting the single canvas. And when it was finished, we both felt we had achieved the best of both worlds."
